33 days trekking in Solukhumbu district, Nepal, October 2014

The expedition was led by the very competent Keshab Jung Thapa the managing director of Good Vibe Adventure. The trip was everything we hoped for and more! We definitely picked the right company to fulfill our dream...

Good Vibe Adventure demonstrated in October and November 2014 what a difference a top guide and great Sherpa team make in terms of the safety and enjoyment. This 33 day trek was a challenging experience for our group, as we are all 60 years plus in age. We encountered a couple of cold and rainy days, but overall we experienced spectacular sun and magnificent sights on the way up the Solukhumbu trail and Khumbu valley from Jiri to Chukung and Island Peak Base camp. Under the guidance of Keshab Jung Thapa, Krishna Khadka and the Sherpa team of porters (Kaila Kami, Bhakta Karki, Ramesh Sherstha, Dil BK) we were successful in reaching Chukhung Ri at over 5,400 meters.

Our itinerary included staying overnight in Jiri, Shivalaya, Bhandar, Kenja, Goyem, Jumbesi, Everest View Lodge, Nunthala, Kharikhola, Puyan, Chaurikharka, Monjo, Namche Bazaar, Thame, Khumjung, Phortse, Pangboche, Orsho, Dingboche, Chukhung. Then a climb to Chukhung Ri and the Island Peak base camp. The return to Lukla through Pangboche, Tengboche, Namche Bazaar, Hotel Waterfall near Phakding and then Lukla for the flight out to Kathmandu.

We appreciate the changes Keshab made to our itinerary, they were the fine tuning needed to what we had planned in the year preceding this expedition. The fact that there were no major problems, is a direct result of Keshab's successful efforts. Plus we had fun.

Keshab is simply the best at what he does. Hands down. His expeditions are well planned, he doesn't miss any details and Keshab puts the safety of each person first and foremost.

We also found that Keshab Jung Thapa's reputation and experience in the Himalaya has given his company greater ease in dealing with the government check points, in choosing excellant Sherpas porters, and in interacting with other expedition groups and lodge owners. It was this kind of experience that made our expeditions a success.

Many thanks to all of the participants (October and November 2014):
