Upon your arrival in Kathmandu, a city teeming with vibrant markets, lively streets, and rich cultural heritage, our guide will be there to greet you at the airport. The guide will then escort you to the hotel, where you can settle in and prepare for the exciting adventure ahead. The remainder of the day is at your disposal, offering an opportunity to familiarize yourself with the nearby shopping areas and address any equipment needs for the upcoming trek.

In the evening, a team member will conduct a brief but informative introduction, providing essential details about the trek. This session will offer valuable insights, answer any questions you may have, and ensure you are well-prepared for the journey. The day concludes without meals, allowing you to rest and prepare for the exciting experiences that await you in the days ahead.

Embarking on the adventure, the day begins with an early morning start. Our guide will pick you up from the hotel and escort you to the domestic terminal of Kathmandu airport. The approximately 35-minute flight from Kathmandu to Lukla offers breathtaking views of the Himalayas, setting the stage for the epic journey ahead. Upon landing at Tenzing-Hillary Airport in Lukla, you will be introduced to your porter, who will be responsible for carrying your luggage throughout the trek.

The trek commences with a relatively easy trail, passing through a Kani, a ceremonial gatehouse. As the path descends, it leads above Kyangma village, adorned with a large gompa (monastery) and school. The journey progresses to Cheplung village, where the trail meanders through a community forest with views of the Dudh Koshi River. Crossing a suspension bridge, the route ascends along the ridge to Ghat, passing a school and a complex of Mani walls, Chortens, and prayer wheels. After a brief walk from Ghat, we reach Phakding, a picturesque settlement nestled along the route.

Overnight accommodations are provided at a mountain lodge in Phakding, where you can unwind and reflect on the day's adventures. Throughout the day, trekkers are offered three essential meals—breakfast, lunch, and dinner—ensuring they remain energized for the journey unfolding in the days ahead.

Beginning the day with a hearty breakfast, the trek unfolds with the crossing of several suspension bridges spanning the Dudh Kosi River. The trail then winds through the charming settlements of Tok-Tok, Bhenkar, and Monjo, each offering glimpses into the local way of life. Arriving at the entrance gate of Sagarmatha National Park, trekkers are required to obtain a permit to continue their journey through this pristine natural sanctuary.

Following the river bed for a few hours, the trek eventually leads to the last Hillary suspension bridge, a testament to the historic legacy of mountaineering in the region. Trekkers have the opportunity to take a short hike to Everest View Resort, Thame, or visit Khunde, allowing for gradual adjustment to the altitude. Alternatively, one can opt to relax and explore Namche Bazaar itself. As the primary center of the Everest region, Namche boasts government offices, ATMs, internet cafes, shops, restaurants, bakeries, and a vibrant market that comes to life every Friday evening and Saturday.

To facilitate proper acclimatization, our guides may lead a short trek of only a hundred meters, ensuring a gradual ascent. Additionally, trekkers will have the chance to visit the Tourist Visitor Center near the Sagarmatha National Park headquarters. As we ascend, the trek eventually brings us to an elevation of 3,800 meters at Tengboche. Within the monastery, trekkers encounter unbelievably ornate wall hangings, a magnificent 20-foot sculpture portraying various poses of the Buddha, and an array of musical instruments and robes belonging to the Lamas.

Depending on the pace of our trekking on this day, the ceremony may take place either in the evening or the following morning.
