12 Days Tibet and Nepal Tour

Namaste and Welcome to Kathmandu. Representative of Good Vive Adventure greets you at the international airport. Then you will be transferred at the hotel. After check-in at the hotel, refresh and rest yourselves. We will briefly explain our tour program in the evening. O/N at Hotel.

After breakfast, we set out for guided sightseeing tour in Kathmandu. Pashupatinath temple is the pilgrimage destination of Hindu devotees, lies on the bank of Bagmati River. It is a temple of Lord Shiva. Shiva Linga and It has got a place for cremation, where the dead bodies are burnt down. A great fair held here in Mahashivaratri. Boudhanath Stupa is a Buddhist pilgrimage site and the great Stupa in the Asia, built in the 17th century. It is surrounded by the resident of Tibetan Buddhist communities. You can feel the real sense of Buddhism around here. Swoyambhunath Stupa is also known as the Monkey temple, lies on the top of the hill. The golden temple on the hill top is followed by 365 steps which is significant in Buddhism. It is a good viewpoint of the Kathmandu valley and visitors can have the spectacular sunset views from here. Then we drive back to the hotel and prepare our upcoming trip. O/N at Hotel.

After breakfast at the hotel, we drive through the Kodari highway to the Tibetan border Zangmu. The views are enticing of the landscape, River and the green hills. After completing custom procedures, we drive to the Nylam. O/N at Hotel.

Today, we drive to the Lhatse from Nylam for about 7-8 hours. It is a scenic drive, which crosses the fabulous passes as Nyalm pass (3800m) and Lalung-la pass (5082m). The views are awesome from these high passes of the snow capped Himalayas, including the highest mountain in the world- Mt. Everest. With the super scenic drive, we reach at Lhatse. O/N at Hotel.

While driving to Sigatse from Lhatse, we visit the Sakya Monastery on the way. It is a significant monastery in Buddhism, which is an ancient Bonpo Monastery. We can see the seat of Panchen Lama on the other side of the road. Then we return to the main road and drive further to the Sigatse. The surrounding landscape is superb on the way. O/N at Hotel.

In the morning, we visit the Tasilumpo Monastery. It is an artistic and ancient Monastery in this region. Then we drive to Gyantse for 2 hours. After lunch, we visit the Khumbum Stupa, Phalkar Monastery that are situated on the surrounding of Gyantse. O/N at Hotel.

After breakfast at the hotel, we drive from Gyantse to Lhasa. The drive is wonderful that crosses two scenic passes of the Korala Pass (5010m) and Kambala (4794m) along with the Lake Yamdrok Tso. Crossing the Yarlung Tsangpo, the sacred Brahmaputra River and exciting scenes, we reach at the Lhasa. O/N at Hotel.

After breakfast at the hotel, we set off for the sightseeing tour at Lhasa City. We visit the 15th century Potala Palace. We have an opportunity to explore the secret rooms of the historical rulers as the private room of the Dalai Lama. We can see the collections of ancient materials of Buddhists. Then we visit the summer palace of Dalai Lama known as Norbulingka Palace, which incudes the greatest man made garden in Tibet. Our last visit for today is the Tibet Museum, which is known as the National Gallery in Tibet. O/N at Hotel.

It is our second day of Lhasa sightseeing. After breakfast, we go to visit the golden roof Sera Monastery, which is nicely decorated. Then we visit the 14th century Drepung Monastery, where several Buddhist monks are taking shelter. Another site to visit is the Jokhang Monastery, which is historical. After visiting around the Barkhor Bazaar, we back to our hotel and rest. O/N at Hotel.

After breakfast, we drive to the airport at Lhasa in the early morning. Then we fly to Kathmandu. It is a scenic Himalayan flight. After landing at Kathmandu, we drive to Nagarkot. It is a scenic drive, which offers the views of green hills, pine forest and Himalayan views. O/N at Hotel.

We wake up in the early morning today to view the breathtaking sunrise over the Himalayas. The mountain views of Everest range, Langtang, Dhaulagiri, Annapurna and Manaslu range are incredible. Then we return to the hotel, have breakfast and drive further to the Bhaktapur. We visit the Bhaktapur Durbar Square and explore the ancient Hindu temples. Then we drive back to Kathmandu and rest. The whole afternoons is for shopping and visit around the local market. O/N at Hotel.

Today, it’s your final day of the trip in Nepal. On your airport time, Good Vibe Adventure will bid farewell and wish for a safe journey. Or if you have extra activities in Nepal then we do the further trip.
