Kathmandu Lhasa Everest Base Camp Tour

Namaste and Welcome to Kathmandu. Representative of Good Vive Adventure greets you at the international airport. Then you will be transferred at the hotel. After check-in at the hotel, refresh and rest yourselves. We will briefly explain our tour program in the evening. O/N at Hotel.

After breakfast, we set out for guided sightseeing tour in Kathmandu. Pashupatinath temple is the pilgrimage destination of Hindu devotees, lies on the bank of Bagmati River. It is a temple of Lord Shiva. Shiva Linga and It has got a place for cremation, where the dead bodies are burnt down. A great fair held here in Mahashivaratri. Boudhanath Stupa is a Buddhist pilgrimage site and the great Stupa in the Asia, built in the 17th century. It is surrounded by the resident of Tibetan Buddhist communities. You can feel the real sense of Buddhism around here. Swoyambhunath Stupa is also known as the Monkey temple, lies on the top of the hill. The golden temple on the hill top is followed by 365 steps which is significant in Buddhism. It is a good viewpoint of the Kathmandu valley and visitors can have the spectacular sunset views from here. Then we drive back to the hotel and prepare our upcoming trip. O/N at Hotel.

After breakfast, we drive to airport and fly to the Lhasa, the central region of Tibet. It is a scenic flight over the high Himalayan range. Check-in at the hotel and rest. We can visit around the local market. It is helpful to acclimatize at the high altitude. O/N at Hotel.

After breakfast at the hotel, we set off for the sightseeing tour at Lhasa City. We visit the 15th century Potala Palace. We have an opportunity to explore the secret rooms of the historical rulers as the private room of the Dalai Lama. We can see the collections of ancient materials of Buddhists. Then we visit the summer palace of Dalai Lama known as Norbulingka Palace, which includes the greatest man made garden in Tibet. Our last visit for today is the Tibet Museum, which is known as the National Gallery in Tibet. O/N at Hotel.

It is our second day of Lhasa sightseeing. After breakfast, we go to visit the golden roof Sera Monastery, which is nicely decorated. Then we visit the 14th century Drepung Monastery, where several Buddhist monks are taking shelter. Another site to visit is the Jokhang Monastery, which is historical. After visiting around the Barkhor Bazaar, we back to our hotel and rest. O/N at Hotel.

Today, we start our driving journey with a long drive. We drive to the Gyangtse by the side of Yamdrok Tso Lake, which is one of the three holy Lakes in Tibet. The road drive is scenic though bumpy. We cross the Kamba La (5030m) enjoying the exciting views of Mt. Nojin Kangtsang. After we reach to Gyangtse, we visit the Pelkor Monastery and Kumbun temple. Then we take a long drive to Shighatse. This is again a long road drive from Shigatse to Tingri. On the way, we cross the Gyatsola pass (5220m). We also visit the Sakya Monastery on the way, which offers the views of Mt. Everest and surrounding barren landscape. We stop at the last point of this place called Tingri. O/N at Hotel.

It is a great journey today that we drive through the thrilling road drive, which should be driven very carefully. The Himalayan views of Mt. Everest, Cho Oyu, Gyachung and other snow covered peaks are fabulous. The sunrise and sunset views are astounding over the Mountain range. We can visit the nearby Rongphu Monastery in the evening. A long drive from Rongphu Monastery to Shigatse via Tingri for 9 hours again offers various views of barren landscape, scattered ethnic settlement and rural lifestyle. Reach to Shigatse and rest. O/N at Hotel.

On our returning to the Lhasa, we visit the Tashilhunpo Monastery in the morning. It was built in the 15th century and very much popular for the seat of the Panchen Lama. Continuing the road drive, we reach to Lhasa in 5 hours. O/N at Hotel.

After breakfast, we drive to the airport at Lhasa in the early morning. Then we fly to Kathmandu. It is a scenic Himalayan flight. After landing at Kathmandu, we transfer to the hotel. We have rest of the time for shopping and do personal things. O/N at Hotel.

Today, it’s your final day of the trip in Nepal. On your airport time, Good Vibe Adventure will bid farewell and wish for a safe journey. Or if you have extra activities in Nepal then we do the further trip.
