Best Time for Chisapani Nagarkot Hiking

You can do the Chisapani Nagarkot Hike throughout the year, but spring (March to May) and autumn (September to November) are the best times for walking and mountain views. Spring has warmer weather, green forests, and patches of rhododendron flowers in some areas. Nepalese New Year falls in April, so you will experience Nepali's New year. In autumn, the skies are often clearer, giving you a better chance of seeing the Himalayas from Nagarkot. You will also experience Dashain and Tihar if you visit during these festivals. These months are popular, so you may find more hikers and busy lodges.

Winter has cold mornings and nights, especially in Chisapani, so pack warm clothes. Monsoon, from June to August, is harder for hiking because rain makes forest trails muddy and slippery. Leeches are also common in wet areas. You can still do the hike in these months, but carry a rain jacket and shoes with good grip.
