Overview

Yala Peak (5520m) is a nearly located trekking peak from Kathmandu, which is a popular peak for the beginner climbers in Nepal. The Yala Peak Climbing is regarded as an easy climb, which is also popular as an acclimatizing climb before setting off for the high Mountain expedition as Mt. Everest.

It does not require more previous climbing experience but still offers adventure sense in the climbers. The trip to Yala Peak climbing offers scenic Himalayan panoramas and surrounded Peaks of Nepal and Tibet.

The Yala Peak climbing package heads from Syabru Besi after 7-8 hours drive north from Kathmandu. Then it follows the main trail of the Langtang Valley Trekking. Heading through the Langtang National Park offers a distinct experience that follows the rugged trail through the Oak and rhododendron forests.

The Yala Peak Climbing members have an opportunity to explore the beautiful Langtang Valley and Kyanjin Gompa, located below the Langtang Lirung. The hiking to Langsisha Kharka and the exploration of Langsisha Glacier keeps the climber's physical fitness update, which is needed before climbing to the Himalayan Peak because any climbing trips are challenging and adventurous.

The high camp is set at 4800m elevation and the peak climbing proceeds on the following day. The top of the Yala Peak itself is a good viewpoint that offers the breathtaking panoramas of Mt. Shishapangma, Gangchempo, Lantang Lirung, Dorje Lhakpa, Naya Kanga, Glaciers, frozen Lakes and surrounding snow-capped Himalayan peaks of Nepal and Tibet.

After descending from the Yala Peak, either we do the Ganjala Pass trekking or retrace all the way back to Kathmandu.

A perfect combination of the Yala Peak Climbing trip to the Langtang trekking brings you closer to the natural and cultural prosperity of the Langtang region. The ethnic villages of Tamang people and warm hospitality attract trekkers and climbers to explore the region again in Nepal trekking and peak climbing vacation.
