Langtang Valley is a place of natural and cultural mystery, situated 19 miles north of Kathmandu. Naya Kang and Yala peaks are very much popular climbing peaks in the Langtang region. There is a natural hot spring at the Tatopani village, which is believed that it is a remedy for many skin diseases. Kyanjin Gompa is another brilliant Buddhist monastery located at 3740m. The area is famous as the site of the Yala Cheese factory. The trekking heads through the Langtang National Park, which is rich in various flora and fauna. Some of them are wild dog, red panda, pika, black bear, Himalayan Tahr, ghoral, common langur in fauna and the forests of Sal, Khotesalla, Louth salla, Gobresalla, Kharsu, rhododendron in flora.
The Langtang trek begins from Syabrubesi after about 7 hours jeep drive from Kathmandu and heads forward by following the Langtang River, reaches Lama Hotel, Tatopani, Langtang valley, Kyanjin Gompa and retrace all the way to Syabrubesi and drive to Kathmandu. Kyanjin Gompa is a last point of the treks, which can be more fantastic to hike up to the Kyangjin RI (4350m). Spring and autumn are the best seasons for the Langtang valley trekking.
