Bashantapur: Explore Ancient Nepal

Greetings, from Good Vibe Adventure. Today we are going to highlight Bashantapur ( Kathmandu Durbar Square)

Bashantapur Durbar square reflects the culture, architecture, and lifestyle of ancient Nepal. Approximately, there are more than 47 temples and Durbars. All temples and Durbars have its own establishing history but, there is no doubt all of them are ancient. This is the place where visitors need to visit before they die, it is really mesmerizing and stunning. All Durbar squares have beaming but Kumari house, Hanuman Dhoka Durbar is a luminous place for the visit. There are several statues of Bhairab and God Narshingha which are distinguishable and superb. Newar is it's indigenous but, in these days people from different part of the country come to settle down and run their business over here. We can see ancient woodcarving and stone statue over here. King used to live in Kathmandu Durbar and they reign over Kathmandu Valley. The last King of Kathmandu valley was King Jay Prakash Malla because, at the period of Jaya Prakash Mall, another brave King of Gorkha conquered Kathmandu Durbar into Big Nepal. Indra Jatra, Ropai Jatra, Holi, and diverse Jatras are celebrated in this place which is a direct mirror of ancient Nepal's customary, culture and tradition. We can also get juncture to taste different ancient Newari cuisine which shows typical Nepaleseness.  We can also get a moment to see the living Goddess Kumari.
